Quick French post!

Bonjour,

I just wanted to post a photo here, because it is really cute. Baby is playing the guitar with Daddy:

We had a busy week end going back to where it all started... We were invited to the 40th anniversary of the school where we met in Belgium. Everything was fine, baby was a bit tired all day from travelling and meeting new people again. But everybody was happy to see us and to meet Jérémy. Food was good but we had to skip dessert to go to bed with baby :o( Oh well, baby's more important than anything else. We went to get croissants and pain au chocolat for breakfast!

And we finally find someone who thinks that baby looks like Ben, our friend Emma said he's got his Daddy's eyes! First one in almost 5 months, I can tell you that Ben was a happy man!

Anyway, got to do stuff here, like shower, washing, cooking, so will let Ben write more soon!

We took 182 photos over the week end! I think we can share a few with you.

We were at my parents', and went to one of my aunts' on Sunday for a big meal :op.

Ben actually slept well there, but he did not sleep last night :o( When baby boy wakes up, we just give him to my Mum who gets up early and waits for him, and we go back to bed.

So, here are some photos. First, with my sister. She just loves him so much.

Then my brother was telling him about thermodynamics. Baby was not too impressed, he knows it all already, obviously!

(even when she's eating, but we are not allowed to take him away from her, I'm pretty sure she'd bite!)

Then he was quite happy at my aunt's. New people giving more cuddles. Well, not on that photo! Tata doesn't share her baby much!

(Also, we got there wearing a t-shirt and dungarees, traded dungarees for shorts, got rid of t-shirt, and then got rid of shorts! Bodysuit only was enough!)

 

It was a beautiful sunny day, so we sat outside, in the shade though, baby's got a fragile skin.

Then, on Monday, we took some photos outside, with the trees / buttercups (my sister got him some shorts, which were perfect for this weekend, in the sun)

Anyway, that was a post from a very proud Maman! Our little boy is wonderful. He knows how to use his handies, discovered his feeties (so cute), grabs people's fingers and tries to suck them!

Well, little one just woke up so that's it for now.

Hello!

Hi there everyone!

Just a quick line to say hello - I think I may stop writing this blog as I don't have the same need for it any more, I find it hard to make time for it, and it is no longer read by many people. Well, we'll see. I certainly don't feel a great need to shout my opinion from the rooftops to all and sundry.

I don't really have a lot to say either these days...the slightly more adventurous times of old seem a long time ago. 

Well since I'm here...we've got some problems because Aurelie has hurt her arm, the one she broke 12 years ago. It was never really fixed properly, and she has done something to it - she can't lift up Jeremy or anything like that. We've been waiting in the hospital all morning for them to tell us to go home and take some paracetamol. If it doesn't feel a lot better tonight, I'll have to take tomorrow off work, there's no way she can take care of baby boy.

Slightly better news, plans for our marriage are moving along - 24th July, here in Marcq-en-Bareoul. It'll just be a small affair, our families and perhaps a friend or two - our friends are all scattered around the world.

I'm feeling sleepy anyway, so that's all for now. Take care friends.

Jérémy's getting bigger!

This is a very short post to let you know that "mini-me" is doing just fine. ("me" being the Mummy, this name is due to the fact that everybody says he looks like me, plus he's got the same expressions as me and sucks his little thumb too. I do think that he's cute like his Daddy though!)

We went to the doctor's on Monday. Somebody weighs 7.620 kilos and is 61 cm. He's bigger than babies his age, but that's because he eats the best milk! He had his last 2 vaccines, next one will be when he's a year old!

So here are two photos, same baby, 3 months apart:

Doesn't look like it's the same baby, though!

He also learnt to use his hands, he sometimes looks at them as if he's studying them to know what he can do with these things. He grabs his toys, rubs his eyes when he's tired.

And do you remember the biiiiigggg jumper, well, it does fit him now!
